Favorite Spoken Word Poet Presentation
For this project, you will be presenting a spoken word poet
that you find artistic and original. You will find a poem performance that you
really enjoy, show it to the class, describe the impact and meaning as well as
the poetic and performance techniques they use in their work.
The Break Down
-Show a video
- Discuss and describe the impact and meaning of the poem
- Present the poet’s history
- Present their
poetic and performance techniques
Poetic techniques: such as figurative language
Performance techniques: repetition, tone, impersonations
etc.
Presentation must be 3-5 minutes
(2 presentation grades)
